Sixth Form on Politics and Current Affairs

6th Formers at Heaton Manor school have shown their passion for politics and current affairs by engaging in a number of enrichment events focussing on politics in the Middle East, as well as religious tolerance.

In the last month, our students have engaged in lively debate with John Levy, a representative of the Friends of Israel Education Foundation, and Dipu Ahad, Labour Councillor and activist.

Some of the students were also involved in organising an event about tolerance, which received attention from local media.

If you want to see our students in action, have a look at the clip from ITV Tyne Tees last week!
