Consequences

Students who have been unable to meet the PACE expectations will be supported by Classroom Teachers/ Faculty Heads and their Year Team.

Students may receive the following consequences and sanctions.

Punctuality

If a student is late to school or a lesson the Form Teacher/ Classroom Teacher will record a late (L) mark on the register. The Form/ Classroom Teacher will issue a whole school late detention slip for 20 minutes on the same day after school.

Year Teams will monitor persistent lateness and work with students and families to improve their punctuality.

Appearance

If a student arrives to school wearing incorrect uniform, make up or jewellery they will be given the opportunity to change, remove their make up or jewellery.

f the student chooses not to follow the Appearance expectations and procedures the Form/ Classroom Teacher will record a consequence point (CA). The student will be sent to isolation and, depending on the circumstances, may remain there all day. The student will complete a whole school 20 minute after school detention on the same day.

Year Teams will monitor students receiving persistent Appearance consequences. They will work with the student and family to meet school expectations.

Commitment to Learning

If the student continues to disrupt learning the Classroom Teacher will record a consequence point (CC) and issue the student with a 20 minute whole school detention on the same day after school.

Equipment

If a student arrives to school without their equipment they will have the opportunity to purchase the required items from the school shop.

If a student chooses not to purchase or borrow equipment from a friend the Form/ Classroom Teacher will record a consequence point (CE). The Form/ Classroom Teacher will issue a whole school 20 minute after school detention the same day.

Year Teams will monitor students receiving persistent Equipment consequences. They will work with the student and family to meet school expectations.

Missed After School Detention

If the student fails to attend an after school detention they will be issued with a 60 minute Friday afternoon detention after school.

The school will attempt to contact parents if an after school detention is missed and students are required to attend a 60 minute Friday afternoon detention. On occasion, an alternative day for the 60 minute detention may be used. The school will attempt to inform the parents of any children with a 60 minute detention of any change to their child’s detention day.
